Hair Loss Reasons

Besides naturally occurring hair loss due to age and hereditary factors, there are many things we do to our bodies either intentionally or unintentionally that may cause hair loss.

In women, some beauty procedures such as hot oil hair treatments and chemicals used in perms can cause an inflammation of the scalp. This can damage the hair and cause permanent hair loss. Some medications can also cause hair loss. If you start taking a medication and notice a thinning of your hair, you should notify your doctor so they may switch your prescription out to a medicine that does not negatively affect hair loss.

If you recognize the hair loss early enough, you can get a hair loss treatment that will help restore your hair to its full, natural state.
